How to Use a Needle Minder

A Needle Minder's purpose is to be a catch-all area for needles. Its magnetic backing catches your needles so they don't get lost when stitching—keeping you organized. Our Thobe Needle Minder is in the shape of a Thobe (traditional Palestinian dress) that just so happens to also be our logo at Badan Collective. We created this image specifically to help enrich your experience as you tatreez!

Now onto how to make use of our Needle Minder. First, you'll want to:

Step 1: Grab Your Needle Minder

Daa! This seems like an easy first step, but make sure to grab a Thobe Needle Minder for yourself from our website by clicking here! If you purchase any of our Tatreez Kits, a Needle Minder is automatically included with your kit.

Step 2: Attach the Minder to Your Fabric

Place one magnet of the Needle Minder on the front of your fabric and the other magnet on the back. Make sure they align properly to securely hold your needle in place while you work.

Step 3: Secure Your Needle

When you need to take a break from stitching, simply place your needle on the magnetic surface of the Needle Minder. This will prevent your needle from getting lost or accidentally poking you while you're not working.

Step 4: Keep Your Needle Minder Clean

Over time, your Needle Minder may accumulate dust or debris. To keep it in top condition, regularly clean the magnets with a soft cloth to ensure a strong grip for your needles. Also, make sure to store it in a safe place away from electronic devices or credit cards, as the magnets may interfere with their functionality. A small container or magnetic strip is ideal for keeping your Thobe Needle Minder secure.
